Samuel Gawith Best Brown Flake

This tobacco is aged 6 years and is from bulk, stored in a mason jar. It has darkened over time, and some sugar crystals have formed. Tobacco is a bit wet and requires about an hour of drying before smoking. I used the fold and stuff method to fill the pipe illustrated bellow.

Close up.

Stack the flake.

Fold the stack in half to form a plug of tobacco.

Stuff the plug into the pipe fold end down into the pipe.

Trim the top with scissors so as not to over stuff the pipe.

Push down a bit into the pipe.

Test the draw. If draw is too tight, pull the plug out, and start over, using a little less tobacco. The draw should be easy. Enjoy.

The flavors of this tobacco is naturally sweet and mild. Flavor is outstanding, and the room note is sweet smelling. This tobacco is fantastic. Highly recommend.
