Has anyone tried these? They are supposedly the ones that replaced the Cupidos. I kind of liked the Cupidos-how do these compare?

I've had them. I enjoyed them and thought they tasted fine. Nice medium body and flavor. Seemed to burn well and the construction was good. The only cigar I've gotten so far from Cuban Crafters that I didn't like was the Don Kiki green label.

Cupidos were good smokes. I still have about 10 from a box of gran robustos. The date stamp inside the lid is Nov. 99. The wrappers are very delicate and prone to splitting. But the cigars are really top notch.

I loved Cupidos. It's a shame they dropped them. I'm so-so on La Caroilina. I think they're going to need a couple of years to get the kinks out. They're similar to Cupido, but not the same thing, unfortunately. Not a bad cigar, though.

I'm with cubano, although I think they're better than so-so. I've had a couple and I really like them.

I have 2 boxes that I bought of their original release. Not quite as complex as the Cupido's, in my opinion, but the wrapper is not nearly as friable. It's not a fair comparison, though, b/c the Cupidos I have are from '99 and these are from '05. Maybe a little time would help?

Hey James. Good to see you around. I bought two boxes from the new release. Your dad was a big fan of the cupido's too, I think. Anyway, they are a natural wrapper, not a corojo as the original cupido. Bummed me out, but they are a fine smoke non the less. I paid $59.00 for the churchills. I'm not so sure I'd pay full price. Too many others out there I like for that price.

I won a bundle at the CW herf at RTDA and enjoyed them, I've got 5 left. I have trouble comparing them to cupidos because the 2 boxes I have are 7 years old and very tasty indeed. I like La C, but still kinda young, IMHO.
