Trinidad Fundador

Not sure how old this one is; at least 10 years but pretty sure more. The wrapper is nice and smooth with hints of plume. The bunch is firm with no soft spots and the cold draw is perfect. Tonight’s beverage is a Real Ale Black Quad.

Up front the flavor is almost all “Cuban twang.” There are also coffee and cocoa notes with black pepper notes in the retrohale. The burn is even and the mottled grey ash is layered.

The first third is ultra smooth. Medium bodied thick smoke with leather and cocoa notes and very light pepper in the retrohale. The burn continues to be even and the ash is growing long after dropping the first half inch. And just as I got a picture of the ash it dropped off.

During the second third the flavors really open up. Rich cocoa and cedar with a touch of leather and more pepper in the retrohale. I have always found Fundadors to have distinct flavor markers as the cigar progresses. The burn continues to be even and the ash falls intermittently.

Approaching the final inch the pepper notes in the retrohale have ramped up considerably. The cocoa notes have muted and the main flavors are cedar and leather. The burn has been even the entire length of the cigar. Great construction and unreal complexity make me wish I still had a cabinet of these. 9.8/10, Joe Bob says check it out.
El Gringo permanence...

Eleven dead bodies. One dead cat. No breasts. Joe Bob says, "Check it out."

More capacious than an elephant's scrotum, and just as difficult to get your hands on...

There is only one thing in life worse than being talked about, and that is not being talked about.
