Let me start off by saying the the Robusto Larga is one of my favorite domestic smokes. So I was real excited to try this one since it appears to be basically the same cigar only with a different wrapper, a Connecticut.
It looked and smelled great. I lit it up and it started off great. I briefly thought that this might be my new favorite ERDM. But within a minute it turned extremely harsh. I back lit it to get rid of tar build up, and the flame looked like the shuttle taking off. I ended up having to do this after every third or fourth puff. This cigar had more tar than a farm road in Texas. And to top it off, it tunneled faster than a convict making a break for it because he was tired of being somebody's bitch. Add to that the fact that it burned very unevenly and you have a most disappointing smoke. I have smoked better Alts. Yes, it was that bad. On the gumby meter it gets "The Texans were my best soldiers. Not once did I see their backs in battle" Robert E. Lee
