Recent vinyl purchases...(for the wax heads)

stopped in one of the local shops and was pleased to find these in great shape

Gal Costa - Gal Costa
Jorge Ben - Fôrça Bruta
Som Três - Som Três (original Brazilian pressing, orange cover)

anyone else find any good black crack?

Man, I love vinyl. The last notable I picked up was Tom Waits- Closing Time. There's just something awesome about music on vinyl. It's organic. 320kbps digital is awesome for the audiophile (and it is awesome), but it's somehow sterile.

I still have most of my old vinyl collection, mostly local Jersey bands, stuff that will never be on CD. Theres a used record store by my job but the punk/hardcore selection is real small.

i rip all my vinyl so i can listen to it on my ipod (as well as share it with friends and just to keep a catalog) and even on my ipod i prefer the sound of ripped vinyl over an mp3

Yeah, I agree. There is something great about vinyl. However, All my friends think I am crazy to still have a turntable hooked up.
