Camacho Powerband Robusto

Well constructed cigar with deep rich aromas. A nice clean clip reveals a bit of a generous draw. This evening’s beverage is a Nolabelbrew Pale Horse Ale from Katy, Texas.

The initial flavors are well cured tobacco with plentiful smoke and a nice pepper note in the retrohale. The cigar is burning very even and the ash is a mottled grey that looks solid. The Pale Ale is a decent pairing although a porter or coffee would have been a better match.

The cigar is presented as a strong, full bodied smoke. So far it does not disappoint. It is a nice strong tobacco and pepper bomb so far, although I can detect some complexity coming through.

After the first third the ash has dropped but the burn remains even. The draw remains a bit generous but taking smaller puffs helps in not smoking too fast. The pepper notes have sublimated a bit but the boldness of the tobacco is still overpowering what I think is cedar.

During the second third the cedar finally stepped up to make for a much more pleasant blend. The burn continues to be perfect. This is a very well constructed cigar. It also remained cool and pleasant.

This is definitely a very good cigar for the seasoned smoker who likes a lot of kick. I would have preferred a little more complex blending of flavors, but overall it is still a good cigar. 7.75/10, Joe Bob says check it out.
