I mentioned this in another thread but I recently got a bottle of Castillo Spiced Rum which turns out is pretty good and not expensive at all. It's good mixed with real-sugar Coke or straight from a shot glass. It doesn't have the burn of some others but it's also only 70 proof.

Enjoying some Ron Zacapa 23 Solera at this moment. I know it's not a patch on the 'original' 23-year old RZ (which I've been fortunate enough to taste), but it's still pretty good.

I still have about 1/2 bottle of RZ. I think once I'm over this cold I'll have a few drams for Auld Lang Syne.

Very good rum. Personally, I like the Zacapa XO better. Used to be able to get it half price if you bought 2 bottles. That deal is over & it's rather expensive- but still a superb rum.

Agreed. I got a 3 pack from SV at $50 a bottle. Would never spend the near $100+ it goes for. It's good but it's not that good and it's rum so we know it's has additives like coloring and sugar and who knows what else

Spent a week in Nicaragua. Drank nothing (liquor wise that is) but Flor de Cana 7. It treated me very well.
