My brother, who lives in dry Colorado, converted and old fridge into a humidor about six months ago. Until recently he was able to maintain 70% humidity with a bunch of sponges and oasis foam charged with 50/50 solution.

For the last month or so, he hasn't been able to bring the level up past 50-55%. I figure he must need some type of active humidification. I'm a little concerned about the fate of all the Habanos I've been sending him.

Where I live I have the opposite problem, so I've got no specific advice for him. It's a medium sized fridge (16-18 cu.ft.). Does anyone have any suggestions, realizing that the budget is somewhat limited?

Try Climmax beads.http://fujipub.com/climmax/

They work great and are fairly cheap.

FF is the fridgedor king. I learned from him. I have a fridgedor and have found the winter months will affect the humidity even in a fridge. In the summer I keep one large florists foam container, but now I have added two more soap dish containers to control the humidity. I use the Williams temp controller also, but it isn't necessary in the winter if you have a cool place to put the refridge as I do.

SSJ...I'm good at what I do. What is it that I do again?!!!
