Tatuaje Black Petite
The third in a series of five provided by MadDawg.
Appearance: A medium brown, with a very shiny wrapper. Lots of veins. Construction was firm but not hard with just a few lumpy areas. Like the Anarchy, it was a little soft at the foot but firm the rest of the way. Pre-light Aroma: Very mild tobacco scent. Cap: Well done. Pre-light Draw: Like the other two I have tried so far, this had a medium draw that was just right. Light-up: I toasted the foot and was again rewarded with a mild, peppery sense in my nose with a little more bite than the Anarchy. Smoke: The smoke is plentiful with this one, and it has just the right amount of spice in my nose. Burn: The ash is a light grey and is firm. The burn was straight and even throughout the entire cigar. It only needed one re-light and that's because I was engrossed in the ball game and let it go out. Flavor: The initial light gave me a medium body tobacco flavor with just a touch of spice. Halfway through this cigar settled into a satisfying, high-quality, earthy tobacco flavor and stayed that way. Rich woody flavors with just a hint of leather added to the mix ever so slightly in the background but didn't overpower the natural tobacco taste. This is definitely a solid blend and one I wouldn't hesitate to try another one. Or three. Or more.
