Just flew back through duty free on Saturday and its just about my favorite part of any international trip. Looking at the HC, the high end Cuban cigars, MAN what fun.

We went to Jamaica so we flew into Montego Bay. We hit up the duty free on the way back to the states there in MTB, then again when we landed in Newark, NJ. The Jamaican duty free is a thing of beauty. Huge store.

I had a woman bring a pint jar of Blanco to my wife, I had a glass, and the stuff smelled lik ambrosia, but tasted cloying and kinda gross. It was the smoothest liquor I've ever had, no exception.
It tasted almost like a liqueur, did she bring something else? Since she is a native Cuban who lived there until recently, it's hard to imagine that she brought in bogus rum. |
