antique icebox conversion

Howdy gents -- just a quick question - I have an antique icebox with upper and lower sections - does anyone have any advice on converting it to a humidor? I'm thinking with the size of the space, active humidification is my only choice, right? also, it's easily 75 years old, what tips/tricks are there to ensuring a good seal?

Is this even a project worth approaching?

thanks!

There is an article in the Archives detailing just such a conversion.

Please do. We can always use an update on a new project based on an old one in the magazine.

I would love to see pics of the progress. I would like to do something similar eventually.

I dug this old article by Mark Steinberg (from way back in 2008) out of the Cigar Weekly archives...
