The Whistler The Blue Note...

...is a fine Irish malt whiskey that's recently appeared in the marketplace. I've tried the 7-year old version, and come away very impressed. You can have a 'sneak taste' of it HERE on the CW Home Page.

Interesting. Might have to give it a try.

I have to say, Doug, you could make Dewar's palatable with your descriptions.

I'd probably leave that challenge to Sean Connery, who did advertisements for Dewar's some time ago that incorporated the slogan, "Some things age, others mature." Personally, I feel age (whisky-wise, at least... life-wise, I'm still not sure) is often overrated.

I do know that Dewar's tastes like Robitussin to me.

The 18-year old Dewar's is a superior blend (at least to my palate), however... Higher malt content (obviously led by some well-matured Aberfeldy) and more polished to boot.

Well done sir!
