Just received two tax documents from ordering cigars online ..... Do not know what the taxes will be yet . What a shock and a Shame.....

What state do you live in? Where did you make your purchases? I've never heard of this happening before.

New law. The state of Louisiana requires vendors ( all vendors, not just tobacco) to send a record of everything we LA residents buy online to the end user, and a copy goes to the state. We're required to pay sales tax on our income tax returns.

THAT'S how they're going to do it, Keith? That's on the state tax return? Well, shit, I pay damn near every year. Tax preparer almost just puts the state dept. of Revenue and Taxation address on my Federal, to avoid the middle man.

So, out of state vendors are asking you for your social security # when they sell you something?
