What can I say?
Not long after I began my personal journey through the land of whisky and beer, I took to reading Michael Jackson's tomes on these drinks with a passion. As the years passed and my collection of books authored by him grew ever larger, I never ceased to partake of and enjoy his wealth of knowledge, wit and engaging writing style. The column he regularly submitted to Whisky Magazine was - no matter the subject - consistently entertaining and enlightening. May your bar always be well stocked and frequented by the many friends and fans you made down through the years, Mr.Jackson.

R.I.P.
He is the person who introduced me to the wider world of beer and then whisky.

Sad to hear.
His "Whiskey The definitive Guide" (his spelling) is one of my go-to books when I'm in the mood for some single malt lore. Commander Bob |

Sad news about the man that once referred to Pabst as a 'chewy brew'.
Rest in Peace |
