Which brand butane
I used Colibri and also Clipper. When I worked in a cigar shop, I bought up on the Clipper butane with my employee discount. I am about to run out and need to buy more butane.
Which brand of butane do you guys use for your lighters?

I have always used 5x refined butane to keep all of my lighters working great. Vector or Lava. I know CI has a good price on the big cans of 2 for $13 and there is a free shipping coupon as well. I can dig it out if anybody needs some.

I wouldn't use Ronson on a bet.
I started with Colibri. I still have part of the first can of Vector I bought. I now use Lava in all of my lighters, and will accept no substitutes.

Doug, why the preference for Lava? Is it filtered more than Vector?

Both Vector and Lava are 5x refined and I use both of them. They are the best fuel out there IMO.

Cigary's right, though - they're both 5x refined, so they're both about as free of impurities as you can get.

Ditto on the Vector or Lava. Currently I use Vector because that is what I have on hand.
I also use those little, tiny bottles of Dupont in my ST Duponts. But I haven't used those in years.

Another Vector / Lava vote.
On occasion I'll go for Xikar if its on sale. |
