Gumby Reviews the La Luna Natural Fuerte
Yes, I must confess, I smoked a domestic. With my habanos inventory running low I have had to ration my intake, so I thought I'd try one of these babies. Great looking cigar, even though the wrapper is considerably darker than the almost blonde wrapper of the prototypes. The cigar was rolled very well, nice feel, not to firm and no soft spots. The burn was very even and considerably better than the habanos Punch I smoked last night. It held a nice ash, though not nearly as long as the LLMF. The taste was very nice. In fact, it is one of the closest to having that habanos flavor than almost any domestic I have had. Granted, not quite that distinctive habanos twang, but a nice little twang, with the smoke leaving a nice well rounded taste. I smoked it close to an hour ago and the taste left in my mouth is still very enjoyable, as is the case with a really nice cigar.
The cigar never burned hot and held a consistent flavor profile down to the band. On a gumby scale of 5 , I'd give it a solid 1/2. A very enjoyable cigar.
