Vintage humidor restoration

Okay! We figured out what it is made of(quartersawn oak). The album now includes a pic of the inside lid verifying this.

I am currently working on conditioning and preserving the original finish. The original initial plate left a mark on the lid. I decided not to try and take it off. I did try some 000 steel wool(didn't work). I'm not willing to go any farther. I can use the original plate I guess ( ERN). Anyone know where to get some 1" X 2" decorative stainless blanks? I googled and what I found is mostly fit for dog tags.
