Mine is wrapped in the electric humidor blanket sold by J&R.

Your number 1 concern is - as brian points out - humidity. If you run a humidifier in the house, or in the room with your humidor, that's probably a good thing. The wood CAN crack if it gets too dry. Welcome to CigarWeekly! If you follow us on facebook or twitter, let me know!

Temperature doesn't matter so much. As long as the temp is below 70 you're okay. A lower temperature might slow down aging, but with a 50-count humidor you're obviously not looking at aging things long term.
As for RH, I agree that, for smoking, 60-65% is best. For aging of cigars 70% is more ideal. But, again, with a 50 count humidor you're not going to be doing any long term aging. So keep the RH between 60 and 70, and the temp below 70, and you'll be fine.

WHAT? You could get a free one if you bought 10 boxes of Alts to Ults

I hate Alts. That is why I bought my blanket from Thompsons

I want an electric blanket wrapped around my dear connie, who featured so prominently in my dreams while locked into puberty.

Consuela estefan. Hot as a bad connie. Truly smoking hot. Boy, she was a truly BAD girl, my connie. Oh, the horror, the tragedy, she went on to dance on the poles, and she is now headlining in vegas at a senior citizens casino.
