Bolivar Corona 1998
I recall smoking a ton of these back in the day and I recall they were always over the top strong. Time has tamed the wild beast.
Wrapper - Deep dark brown, thin wrapper, thin veins, just awesome looking. 5/5 Construction - Dense, and heavy, I thought for sure it would be plugged. But to my surprise, it had a perfect draw. Tons of smoke with every puff, filling the palate with rich, dense smoke. Even burn from beginning to end, nice gray ash. 5/5 Flavor - How this cigar has changed with 15 years of age. This cigar has taken on this rich toasty nutty flavors, some wood, a bit dusty leather you often find in aged cigars. Some earth on the second half. I am getting layers of flavors, and some pepper on the finish. Complexity is awesome. 10/10 A true connoisseur cigar for sure. 20/20 Worth the effort to search out and acquire. Thanks Mike S for this sample.
