Cuban Crafters Toro

Cuban Crafters Toro
52 X 6"

A few years ago I purchased the Cuban Crafter sampler pack. I stumbled across it while rummaging through one of my coolers so I thought I'd crack it open and give one a try. I chose the Toro.

A very rustic looking, box pressed cigar. It had a dark brown rumpled looking wrapper. The construction felt solid. The draw was a tad tight but OK.

The cigar lit easily and produced good volumes of thick, chewy smoke. I'd call the strength medium, but the flavor full and bold. There was a nice sweet-spice component to the flavor. The strength built up some during the burn but nothing dramatic. One of the best parts of the experience was the pungent, spicy aroma the cigar produces as it burns. The ash was stark silver-white, and the cigar burned got off at times but would correct itself.

Overall I found this to be a pretty good cigar. Not the greatest ever, and certainly not the worst. While I did enjoy it, I won't be rushing out to secure an entire box. But there was nothing here to be avoided that's for sure.

Cheers!
