Revisited 2 Weeks Later: Tinder Box 1928 Reserve
I'm starting to like this tobacco.
The top dressing must not have had a humectant base as once the tin was opened and allowed to breathe, the aromatic element began to rapidly dissipate. By mid-tin, the aromatics of the blend had subsided. I am smoking several bowls per day and am experiencing no tongue bite, no nicotine overload. Now...if you're a dedicated Penzance, Dunhill 965, etc. smoker, 1928 Reserve probably will not be more than an occasional dessert smoke for you. If you're primarily a Virginia smoker, who enjoys an occasional bowl of Stokkebye Nougat, you may want to pick up a tin. If you order, remember to use the coupon code BTFF0720 where it says discount code; not where it says gift code. It's a couple of bucks off per tin. |
