Yes I do that too, it is quite fun, but considering the sheer amount of new cigars out there it can be dangerous to my wallet! And I agree, most of these new boutique cigars are very good. So I just bought about 35 singles, none that I ever heard of (including 8th Street and Ybor shop rolled) and I expect mostly good to great to awesome from them, considering my track record with the few that I had tried before. I've got a veritable boutique cigar store in my 'dors right now, too bad it's been so cold.
