Single Malts from "Strange" Places
I've been branching out a bit recently from the traditional Scotch single malts that I've enjoyed for 30+ years.
A local store owner recommended M&H (Milk & Honey) Single Malt from Tel Aviv Israel, and I greatly enjoyed it. In recent months M&H's Elements Sherry Cask won the World's Best Single Malt Whisky prize at the 2023 World Whiskies Awards. Still on the hunt for that one. A local bartender turned me on to Kavalan Select from Taiwan recently. He also recommended a French single malt called Rozelieures Smoked which he said is a must for any peat head. What have you tried that isn't from the typical whisk(e)y regions? |
