Review: Rattray's Old Gowrie

Courtesy of tedski, I have a nice sampler of Old Gowrie to review. This is my first review of any kind, and my palate isn't very refined, so :P

Out of the bag, it smelled like any old pipe tobacco does to me; it smelled like raisins.

Not knowing the blend before lighting up, I would say that Virginia leaf permeates the taste, however, it is an all Virginia blend so that's the reason.

A medium bodied smoke, it was pleasant and tasted of sweet coffee, kind of like cafe au lait, and later it tasted like lightly salted peanuts.

I am not yet fully knowledgeable in tobacco, but I would say that this is a must try for anyone who likes the Virginia leaf! Getcha some!
