I just saw a thread in the trading room for 5 Hoyo Particulares for $350. Now, I love cigars and I quit smoking most cheapos years ago, but $70 a stick? I keep thinking "for the cost of two stogies, I could have a box of aged SLR PC's dammit!" and it makes me cringe.
Is any cigar worth that much money to you? It isn't to me. And I don't see how it ever could be. Even if I were made of money, I don't think I'd blow it in this fashion. I've had a couple of shots of Johnny Walker Blue ($180 and up per bottle, retail) and all I could think was "Sure, it's good. But is one bottle of this worth six $30 bottles of Glen Livet? Not in MY book. While I've been given more expensive cigars, the most expensive that I've actually purchased was in the $20 range, and I can't even remember what it was. What's yours? Easy draws. . . Monte
