Who has suggestions for packing flake tobacco?

I have some flake tobaccos (like Marlin Flake, for example), and I'm not sure of the best way to pack it into my pipe. I have tried in both a fairly large Danish Sovereign bent Rhodesian, and a Kirsten Mariner with a medium billiard bowl. I think I packed both too tightly.

I want to get as much as possible out of this tobacco, so I want to pack correctly. Any help will be appreciated...
