I read the bag more closely, it’s the 1931 which is a Burley, cavendish, and Virginia blend.

Had a couple of bowls of Orlik Dark Strong Kentucky from a 2004 tin. Much more mellow than 1 to 2 year old tins I've previously smoked. I think the newer tobacco has more flavor maybe. Will need to do a direct comparison.

Smoking McConnell Scottish Flake this evening. The flakes are really nice looking. I fold and stuffed my poker pipe. Flavors are solid medium, heavy Kentucky flavor. Some bright tobacco flavor in the background. Really flavorful tobacco. Thanks Andy for this sample. I am really enjoying it.
