The Chairman of the Board's sound definitely ages well!

At the top of his game, no one had better phrasing and breath control than Frank, nor was anyone as good at projecting the feelings he had regarding a song.

I'm going to HAVE to look this one up! I've got a pretty good selection of Sinatra (mainly from his Capitol years), but this sounds like something a little unique. Thanks for the heads up guys!

Sinatra was a true artist. To me, Sinatra, Joe Williams, Nat King Cole and Mel Torme are the real giants who tower over everyone else. Sinatra was probably the first vocalist who understood the acoustic properties of the microphone well enough to treat it like an instrument. Just listen how he fades out notes by drawing the mic away, or how he uses it to emphasize certain notes.
