Singer Joe Jones Dies
Famous for "You Talk Too Much"

(Los Angeles-AP, December 1, 2005) - It's the anthem for anyone who's ever had an annoying friend, relative or co-worker who just... won't... shut... up.
"You Talk Too Much" was a hit for Joe Jones in 1960. His son says his dad died of complications from quadruple heart bypass surgery. He was 79.

Jones never made much money off his song and that's what got him interested in the business side of the recording industry. He went on to help black artists get the royalties they lost when they didn't understand the contracts they were signing.

Jones is also credited with discovering the Dixie Cups, known for the hit "Chapel of Love."
