JFR from Tropical
I have loved these cigars since I first had one in Nashville at RTDA where Pepin was hand rolling this blend just for demo purposes. Well after bugging them every time I saw Paul from Tropical..they announced they were coming out with the blend called JFR (Just for retailers).
They are now starting to show up in stores. The cigars come in a corona gorda, pyramid and a churchill? size. They are unbanded in boxes of 50. The price here in Dallas is about 3.50 each for the corona gorda. The sticks have a dark rough wrapper. I was wondering if they would taste the same....but back to the physical qualities...The foot almost has an unfinished look to it...the head is a pigtail. Nicely made overall. I clipped the first one and set it on fire. Yup the taste was there. Good draw and lots of flavors. They have a cuban taste...not overpowering just nice and mellow. It is a criollo and corojo blend that hits my taste buds just right. Keep a look out for em.
