Well , I bought Avocado oil , now what ??
I have been eyeing this stuff for awhile now and it went on sale ...
I have a salad dressing I am going to make with it .... But , beyond that any ideas ?? I don't plan on using it for cooking , it has a high smoke point 400°F... but , too expensive to use it for that... Dan |

You got me there, Dan. I detest avocados and use maybe 6/yr for the wife to enjoy.

I like avocados, eat lots of them ... I make an avocado aioli that's really good on burgers , sandwiches , potatoes etc... I tasted the oil , a fairly neutral taste , at least this stuff... So , probably just use it for salad dressings... Dan Last edited by N8DCJ; 10-11-2017 at 03:41 PM. |

how does it taste on good bread? I love really good olive oil on bread.
how does it taste drizzled over say tomato soup? or use it to make vinaigrette oils go rancid, so you need to try to use it up. Personally I only keep 3 oils around canola extra virgin olive oil (a good one I cook with I buy in 3L cans, plus a couple of really good ones for drizzling) rice bran

There's a place here that sells a decent sub, once in a while I stop, and usually have some oil and red vinegar drizzled. Nothing but that. It doesn't matter what meat, mostly, or what vegetables. If the avocado oil has good flavor, yes, a drizzle like that might be good.
