My god, the prices!

Last month I started thinking about buying a special box. Got online, and HOLY COW! The things that I was looking at were selling at $5 or 10 each!

I started out trying to keep things at the price of a couple bottles of beer, and now, some things that I've bought in the past on sale cost more than a six pack of Guinness!

Thank you, US congress.

I think I'm going to sign up for the $40 free shipping at Jr and try to catch some auctions. Holts has a special deal that they sent me, a welcome to the site ten pack of monte#2. Gonna certainly do that.

This isn't a mooch. Don't you dare do that. This is me, who is also screaming about match grade .22lr costing more than I used to spend on .38

I'm even looking at the imported stuff thinking that if it's going to kill me to buy it, I'll try something different.

Five pounds apiece? one weekend would net me enough corn Fed ethically euthanized fine, fat squirrels to net a box Opus. If I could sell diced meat, I could easily double production.

It's true. When I am casually looking for price points online I have a few places that I start at. Grafs and midway for shooting supplies. 1A auto. Target for medical things and many others. Amazon.

These are products available on line or in-store, these stores provide a normal center line price point. Searching can sometimes find better, not always, not always better, not always reputable companies.

Jr is the go to price index. everyday prices there for 'premium' cigars are big. With price matching, you can't do better.

Look at punch, h upmann, Romeo, perdomo, partagas, alec Bradley, Fuentes, la Gloria, Olivia...

I call these 'good premium brands,' and the basic bottom line blend and smallest vitola are $5, box price, give or take a few cents. You guys who look at anything other than these basic lines know those prices.

Five bucks a box off is twenty cents per. Unit. Just looking at punch, the double corona is just short of $5, and they are generous. Line extensions for equivalent sizes are mostly less than$6.

Yes, 'ordinary' premium cigars are all $5 or more, even at box prices.

I have two of these in my cellar. Mine are younger, but nearly ten years old.

Not true. I've scored some good deals at the Auction Site this month. I've been getting 10 pack samplers of La Gloria for under $30. Cain Daytona's at 4-5 each

I wasn't wanting to have people sending me things, didn't mean to sound like a beggar. You shouldn't feel obligated do do so just because of your innately generous nature. But you know that I love your selections. I have never sent a box back, though, you know gift horses and so forth...

I've already won one auction, I got a bundle of alts. A 7x30 lancero. I bought it for the size, certainly not the great quality. Lanceros are an occasionally nice thing.

$3.00 a piece for monte #2 will be nice if they come through.
