Making your Own Pipe

Hi all,

Has anyone here carved their own pipe???

I have absolutely NO wood-working tools, but would LOVE to make my own pipe! I have seen a few kits online where the briar comes with the tobacco chamber and air hole pre-drilled, as well as a stem fitted. I would like (A) more information and ( recommendations on tools, kits available, stores to get supplies/tools at, and (C) anything else you think I should know before attempting this

BTW: I'm in Maryland, so if anyone knows some decent pipe-supply stores [or if Home Depot carries what I need, that would help too], I'd greatly appreciate it!

Thanks alot!

-John
