Need some help IDing what I believe is an older Charatan

Marked with the Lane L on the bottom, 2 line nomenclature on the left side that says

Charatans's Make
London England

the right side is a single line

Connaught

it has the distinctive DC bit with the second step.

It also has the standard Reg No on the stem.

here's pics

I'm thinking that becuase it has the Lane mark and the DC stem, but doesn't have the 3 line nomenclature it seems to place between 1955-1965. Anyone have any more info?

I won this pipe off of ebay about a minute ago, this one really got the blood pumping, I HATE snipers! but I won the pipe for $85
