I wanna build a humidor out of something cool

So I need a humidor. I don't want a bland looking box, so I wanna convert something I already have into a humidor. So what advice can you give me? Size, materials, suggested objects, what to humidify with, etc. I know this is kind of vague, but the picture I have in my head is very vague, lets refine it.

Well, what do you already have?

I've got my eye on an oak gun cabinet for converting.

How about this. Maybe not cool, but certainly different.

How about an Army ammo case? You know the green metal ones? What would I have to do to make one of those into a humidor?

Throw a piece of spanish ceder in it, along with some wet floral foam or climmax beads, and then shut it... heh
