My brother, who lives in dry Colorado, converted and old fridge into a humidor about six months ago. Until recently he was able to maintain 70% humidity with a bunch of sponges and oasis foam charged with 50/50 solution.

For the last month or so, he hasn't been able to bring the level up past 50-55%. I figure he must need some type of active humidification. I'm a little concerned about the fate of all the Habanos I've been sending him.

Where I live I have the opposite problem, so I've got no specific advice for him. It's a medium sized fridge (16-18 cu.ft.). Does anyone have any suggestions, realizing that the budget is somewhat limited?
