VR Farmie '04
This is one incredible stick! A gift from a buddy, this '04 farm-rolled VR sported a rich, chocolately wrapper with minimal veins. Solid construction with a closed (wrapped) foot and no soft spots. Easy light. Smooth draw. Even burn without the need for relights or corrections. Gray ash. Started with a tannic, spicy flavor with notes of pepper. The first third brought a medley of leather, espresso, and white pepper. This eased into a rich earthiness in the middle third with hints of green apple and molasses. The last third added a fleeting note of brown sugar to the mix. All in all, this one hour full-bodied complex smoke was very enjoyable. Everyone around me commented favorably on the aroma. Definitely get your hands on these if you can. They are worth it!
