Savinelli Pipes

I assume there must be differences in finish and briar quality to make some pipes much more expensive than others, but I was wondering why these two seemingly very similar pipes one is half the price of the other?

Honestly, is there a difference in the smoking quality in the significantly more expensive pipes? I see plenty on that site that are several hundred dollars and more.

I think a lot has to do with the quality and age of the briar. I know my Punto Oro smokes much better than several of my other Sav's of lesser quality. Why don't you buy both of them and give them a smoke test?!

I don't think that would be an economically sound decision Anyway, if I was going to spend that much I would just get the Punto Oro Gold version or one of the PotY models.

Agree, price difference is usually the briar quality.
