I happened to have a couple of these sent to me,ok 10 of them. I have always heard about the Graycliff sticks and know that they are to be found only at the resort until the last year or so. I was also informed that the "master roller" came from the Cohiba,Fonseca factories. I have only teied the so-called seconds-"Bahibas",which I found to be an very mild smoke but enjoyable one.
Let me start off by saying that it was a beautifully rolled stick. No flaws, smooth wrapper with a firm construction and tight wrapped cap. The light was quick and easy and the draw was perfect. Solid grayish/white ash that as I smoked it I was able to stack 6 of them in a nice pyramid and not 1 ash broke. As for taste, it had a somewhat spicyness but wasn't overpowering. The overall taste was mild to medium. To me it tasted like a Davidoff with a litle more kick, would go great as a first stick in the morning or a late nighter before bed. Here in Ohio, My shop sells these for $22.95 a stick. I probaly(ok never) would pay that much for a stick but, this one was worth it. Glad I have 10 more to go. Randy Coach Oyaski |
