'Son of Stagg'
Or, to be more accurate, Stagg Jr Barrel Proof Bourbon, which I profile in my latest article on the Cigar Weekly Home Page.
You can access my assessment of this tasty tipple HERE. As always, I hope you enjoy the read.

As do I... A 'backup' bottle now resides in the cabinet.

yes, I understand that, and I too have a backup. Depth of flavors is amazing.

I admit I haven't read it yet, but what is the price point of this? I haven't seen it on the shelf yet.

It goes for ~CDN$85 in my neck of the woods, though it can be had in certain markets of the US for a fair amount less.

So, it's roughly the same as Stagg Sr. Damn I miss being on the best customer list at Martin's Wine Cellar. He held back a case of Stagg and Sazerac 18 every year for me. I got into whiskies before the boom and just can't seem to find the really good stuff anymore at a price I can afford.

Likewise (Scotch, Irish, American, Canadian and Japanese included)... Glad I still have some special bottles (that would costs me an arm and two legs these days) stashed away for future consumption.
