After finishing my 1926 humidor, I transferred cigars so I could make some long needed changes to this box.

For awhile I've regretted not using the original glass panel in the lid. Finally fixed that. Used a little decorative framing for good measure. I also got rid of the two metal off the shelf humidifiers. I have found over time that the inner lid isn't a very good place for a moisture source. And the tray was too wide. I had to add a humidifier in the bottom section. I made a custom humidifier and placed it in the bottom. It fits snug enough so it can be adjusted upward a bit to accommodate cigars.

The original tray was a little clunky. I had used 1/2" cedar. Just a little too heavy. I made a replacement with 3/8". I think it looks better. Plus, the first tray was 3" tall which was 1/2 the interior space. I've learned since that 2 1/2" works better. I know it's subtle, but it matters. The box looks and functions better now. I also left a little room on the left to effect humidification. This strategy should be more efficient.
