Weird Rolling Event Cigar

Some years ago my Wife was traveling for business ( maybe in Florida) and attended a dinner where the pre-dinner drinks were accompanied by a rolling event. So she brought me a cigar. This was...less than six, more than three years ago. The cigar was a cheroot looking thing with a somewhat twisted end. It was in a cigar baggie and I tossed it in the humidor.
Recently I moved some things around and found this cigar and set it on top. I decided to smoke it today. Expectations were low because it looked like a dog rocket. I lit it, took a few puffs, not too bad. A little further in I held the cigar out and thought: What the hell, this kinda tastes Cuban! I figured I better take a pic or nobody would believe me. If that cigar was a Nicaraguan, it was the worst looking and best tasting Nicaraguan cigar I ever had. I was really surprised! Damn fine smoke!

Looks kinda like the result that I got at a rolling event.

Mine was from a Perdomo event. Still have it put away.

Do you have any info on it's background?

I'll ask my Wife. But at best she might remember where and when she got it. I'd pay $100 for a box of those things!

Hamlet Paradeis is touring for Patel right now, he is rolling some excellent cigars if you happen upon one of the events...

That looks like a J Fuego Classico. Hard to tell from the pic though.
