I was just finishing up a box of these (they come in a 40 count cabinet), and with all of the JR Ults/ERDM RLs/Bolivar Fuertes/FDA's that I smoke I was getting "Villazon Burnout". I ending up being very busy last week so I smoked very few cigars, and those were some mostly Dominicans from another humidor (AF Hemis, 858s etc).
Well, last night I just couldn't look at this Reserva Salado sitting in the dry box any longer. I ground a pot 'o beans, brewed a pot of coffee, and fired this puppy up. If you're not familiar with this cigar, it is a 6" x 54 ring Honduran cigar, with an Ecuadoran Sumatra wrapper. Very similar the the Robusto Larga, except for the wrapper. Like all of the ERDM's that I've smoked (and that number is well over 100), this one had near perfect construction, burn and draw. I smoked this down to a nub, and I just love the flavors in this cigar. A taste of chocolate, hint of cedar, and a nice, rich creamy flavor. Damn, I just love these things. I think the week off help me rest up my 'buds', and this cigar once again convinced me that I was right to have that second cabinet of these resting! A good 8 out of 10 for this. (would have been 9 out of 10, but heck - it's a domestic!)
