Gifted to me by the wise and generous Pharmr. I don't think I've ever seen a more butt-ugly cigar. This thing looked like a water logged root. Black as coal, bumpy as a cobblestone road. I mean REALLLLLLYYYY UGLY.
You know that saying, you can't judge a book by it's cover, well this cigar proves the saying true. What a nice smoke. I would guess the size was 5 x 20? Wrapper, binder, & filler were black. I'm guessing this was a maduro. Toasted it & lit it. Very smooth and mild with lots of smoke. I was impressed by the amount of smoke from such a thin cigar. I'm still relatively new to all this so the an actual flavor characterization escapes me, could taste the contirbution of the maduro wrapper to the overall flavor of the cigar. I do know I really liked this cigar, so much so that I smoked the other one I had the next day, size was similiar to a panetella. These were Puros Clasicos Dominicanos. I have two more of larger sizes with natural wrappers left. If they are anything like the first 2 I can see myself smiling already.
