Just trying Engine 99 and Odessa and both have that soapy/incense flavor to them. The Engine 99 is just a little in the background, which makes it tolerable, but the Odessa it's really pronounced, so for me unsmokeable. Why would anyone want this type of flavor in their tobacco?

Sounds like they use Lakeland casing. Soapy flavor.

Whatever it is, it's awful and it should be listed in the description of the tobacco. Interesting thing, there were comparisons between the Odessa and Balkan Sobranie on the review website, which is why I ordered it to try. I don't get any of that casing flavor from Balkan Sobranie, just great tasting tobacco.
