Ok, its not scotch. Nor is it a value buy. But Gentleman Jack is starting to grow on me.
Very drinkable. Nice aroma or whatever you call it. Not too strong.

Gentleman Jack undergoes the same double-charcoal-filtration process as the Single Barrel, although it packs nowhere near the punch of the latter, instead presenting a smoother, gentler flavour profile.

I've quite enjoyed it in the past. Lately, though, it's the more robust, lingering Single Barrel that works better for me.

At its (Gentleman Jack) price point, however, I think I'd be personally tempted to opt for something along the lines of Jim Beam Black Label... Just a lot more complexity to be had there than with the JD.

Right - At that price point you can also get Eagle Rare, right? And that's a fine bourbon.

GJ is being aggressively marketed in our area now. I believe the local spirit shop has marked it down 8 dollars a bottle. This certainly makes Gentleman Jack a bottle to consider.
