Peterson Irish Flake
Today is Saint Patrick’s Day. So I am smoking Peterson Irish Flake in a Stanwell 191 pipe. This flake tobacco is a blend of burley, Kentucky, and Virginia tobaccos and uses a slight sweet and floral casing. It rubs out easily into a course cut shag and requires minimal drying time (20 minutes). It lights well, and burns well.
At first light, the casing is rather forward, a bit too sweet at first. But the casing flavor disappears as you smoke down the bowl. The tobacco is pretty strong. The dark fired Kentucky and Burley dominate this tobacco. Flavors are strong and generous, full of deep dark tobacco flavors. Earth and leather come to mind. This tobacco is very satisfying. If you enjoy strong dark fired tobaccos, this tobacco will satisfy. Thanks Andy for sending me this tin. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
