I'll Drink to That! What is your favorite beverage to have with a cigar? Juice? Cola? Beer? Port? Single Malt Scotch? This room is for the discussion of beverages, especially alcoholic beverages that go well with cigars! |

Sweet or Unsweet?
You may have to be a real southener to even understand the question...

Sweet. But I did at one time ween myself (reluctantly) off of it for a while and after a couple of weeks, found myself not minding the unsweet so much. Yet, now I'm off the wagon and can't get enough of the stuff.

unsweet, but just because they put too much sugar in it...and that I am hooked on Splenda...

I guess I got used to it in New Orleans. You have to sweeten it yourself. They don't sell it any other way, generally.
Suits me fine, as I prefer saccarhine to sugar in my beverages.

Concur with Jason.
I can't drink sugar drinks all that much anymore, guess I'm getting old. I get that birdcage liner taste off of my tongue when I drink too much sugar. I can drink a good root beer, or a fountain Coke from a fast food joint (they have the best Cokes) but that's about it. I can't even finish a 12 ounce can of Co'Cola any more. All that said.....unsweet.

Unsweet. Got used to it during our honeymoon in England. But as a kid in Ole Virginny, I used to have a layer of sugar on the bottom of the glass of iced tea.

It depends on what I'm having it with.
Sometimes sweet, somtimes not. Sometimes in between. Sugar, Splenda, whatever.
