don't want no trouble with you,
and I know you don't owe me
but I wish you would let me
ask one favor from you ...

except for the Allman brothers (who encompassed several styles) Skynrd was the only southern rock band I can listen to. In fact I just recently bought a LS CD, I had none prior to that. Ronnie Van Zandt was a wonderful songwriter and the band played very well together. Simple music, simple lyrics (that had some meaning). A really good band when it was intact.

I hate sweet home alabama & Freebird was overplayed but nonetheless excellent writing relative to bands of that nature.

I like the message of "Simple Man" sorry to see it played for a Busch commercial.

The live version of "Gimme Three Steps" is much better than the studio version.

Always dug "Workin' For MCA".

"Freebird" about once a year.

Blackfoot, Molly Hatchet and Little Feat work too!

I never considered Little Feat as in the category with 'southern rock' I consider Lowells Little Feat as one of best RnR bands ever.

I didn't say "southern rock"!

Skynyrd and Little Feat have many similarities. "Brides of Jesus" and "Freebird" at their essence are almost the same song!

I know I did, I had heard partly described that way & since they were mentioned with Blackfoot/Molly Hatchet I didn't know. Great either way
