I often use cranberry juice to lighten the pain of drinking vs cognac. Recently while toiling through Wal-Mart, I came upon Ocean Spray White Cranberry Juice. In a lot of ways it is comparable to white grape juice, but with a slight cranberry kick. It is very enjoyable with vs cognac. Today though I tried it straight with my afternoon HDM maduro, and was pleasantly surprised. It didn't exactly compliment the cigar in the normal way, but it did really bring out the flavor of the cigar. I was so happy with it I tried regular cranberry juice, but it just wasn't the same. I really enjoyed this combination. When you can't drink adult spirits, give it a try. Are any other fruit juices this way?
